Brentford vs Chelsea: How the Blues could line up without injured players.

Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea Football Club will be hoping to keep their league on top of the Premier League table when they go up against Brentford later tonight.

So far this season, Brentford has shown why they should not be considered as 'underdogs'. They beat Arsenal earlier this season and also held Liverpool to a 3-3 draw. As such, tonight's game is going to be a cracker.

Ahead of the game, Chelsea's gaffer Thomas Tuchel has a couple of fresh roster issues to contend with. The Chelsea boss will have to make do without at least three first-team players.

Antonio Rudiger sustained a back injury while on international duties, Thiago Silva is ruled out as he arrived late from international duties while Christian Pulisic has not fully recovered from the injury he sustained a few months ago.

With these absentees, it will be very interesting to see how Thomas Tuchel could set up his starting XI. Here's a lineup he could explore:

In terms of formation, the German tactician is likely to stick to his 3-4-3 formation with Mendy lining up in the goal.

As for the backline, Trevor Chalobah and Christensen could come in for Rudiger and Thiago Silva respectively with the club captain Cesar Azpilicueta completing the defensive triad.

N'Golo Kante has fully recovered from his illness, as such, he's expected to star alongside Jorginho in central midfield while Ben Chilwell and Reece James play as wing-backs.

Marcos Alonso could be given a rest as he was heavily involved in the Spanish National Team during the international break.

German star Timo Werner, who was on very good form during the international break, is expected to play alongside Romelu Lukaku and Mason Mount in the attacking setup.
