Manchester United have crashed out of FA cup due to their loss to the blues this past Sunday evening. United's 18 game unbeaten streak was also brought to an end.
Here are some things we learned from the match:
1. Manchester United hopes of record breaking 14 FA cup victories were ended:
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer left Martial and Pogba on the bench at the beginning of the match. Frank lampard defeated Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for the first time this season, and has ended United's unbeaten run. Also shattering hopes to break record of 14 FA cup victories
2. Chelsea's confidence were boosted:
When Frank lampard side took the lead, their confidence was boosted and they didn't look like they were ready to drop that and let Manchester United equalize on them. United has been winning all their games since January, but Chelsea just ended United's unbeaten streak.
3. Manchester United played to much defense:
In the beginning of the match, we noticed that United were playing much defensive game, with plans to send direct passes to Rashford. For a team they already defeated three times this season, that wasn't a cool plan.
Manchester United now has to focus on making the top four in premier league in order to qualify for champions league next season.
