How Liverpool could line up against Watford

The Brazilian duo Fabinho and Alisson are being brought back to England on a private jet from international duty, but it might not be quick enough to see them feature.

The reds could be without Fabinho and Alisson for this weekend's Premier League Saturday lunchtime kick-off against Watford.

However, the Brazilian duty have been away on international duty over the last 10 days or so and are reportedly being rushed back on a private jet in order for them to be available for selection for Jurgen Klopp.

Both players were in the squad as Brazil defeated Uruguay 4-1 in the early hours of Friday morning, UK time.

Fabinho himself has suggested that neither nor Alisson will be available for Watford, telling reporters:

“I believe that this first match against Watford, it will be very hard for us, I don’t think we will play. Neither Alisson or myself.

“The match against Uruguay will be Friday overnight there and the match against Watford will be half past noon.

“With all of what is involved, travel, I don’t know how much time we will have between one game and the other."

There are also quarantine issues to bypass.

Klopp did claim this week that Trent Alexander-Arnold and Diogo Jota should be free for selection, however.

Goalkeeper and Defender

Caoimhin Kelleher should start in goal in front of a back four of Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Andy Robertson.

With Fabinho unavailable and Thiago injured, Curtis Jones and Naby Keita should get the nod in midfield alongside Jordan Henderson.

With Jota available but perhaps not at 100%, Roberto Firmino could start up top with Sadio Mane and in-form Mohamed Salah on the flanks.
