And speculation is mulling whether or not messi will be signing a new contract this time due to his current relationship with the board going down by the day according to the club former president.
Lionel Messi's contract Is due to expire in less than 12 month at Nou camp and at things stands he is yet to decide whether or not to sign a new contract with the club.
The current president is confident that despite all the different views, he is sure that messi will see out his remaining contract with the club.
The Argentine international is no though the best player that has ever played in Barcelona shirt and losing he will be a big blow to both the board as well as the fans.
Barcelona should do everything in their power to keep the maestro at Nou camp which would not be a very difficult task if they manage to comply with his demands and succeed in persuading him to stay.
