North London side Arsenal FC, needs to recruit new defender into their squad ahead of next season, as some of their defenders are yet to attain the twilight years of their football career.
That stance has made Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta, to be seeking for defenders in the transfer market recently.
However, Arteta has shown interest in signing 23-year old Spanish defender, whose contract tends to expire in 2023. But, the Atletico Bilbao defender may leave the club this summer, after he refuses to put a fresh signature into paper, that will extend is stay at Atletico Bilbao due to his lack of game time as he has featured in 12 La Liga matches this season.
Unai Nunez is believed to be valued £27 million and he is also on the radar of some clubs like AC Milan, West Ham, Monaco and Everton.
In other news, Arsenal won their last match against Liverpool at the Emirates stadium, increasing their chance of qualifying for 2020/21 UEFA Europa Cup, as Arsenal are 3 point behind 6th-place Wolverhampton Wanderers, having 2 games left.
