The Blues will be going into this game without some players. But considering the kind of manager Thomas Tuchel is, it should not be a problem as he can always find a player to fill the role.
Antonio Rüdiger and Thiago Silva will be absent for the game against Brentford. Antonio Rüdiger picked up an injury while he was on international duty, and Thiago Silva is absent due to COVID-19 protocols.
Hakim Ziyech may not be available to play. Hakim Ziyech has been missing training sessions, and will most likely miss the Brentford game.
Brentford are a strong team and have proven that they can survive in the Premier League. The biggest mistake Chelsea fans will make is to underrate The Bees.
This would be an opportunity for Thomas Tuchel to rotate the squad from the regular starting XI. Trevor Chalobah and Ben Chilwell might be given the opportunity to start.
How Chelsea Could Lineup When They Face Brentford
Romelu Lukaku had a slight problem while he was on international duty, but he was in training and could feature in the Brentford game.
Timo Werner and Mason Mount could pair up behind Romelu Lukaku. Timo Werner had a productive week after scoring 2 goals while he was on international duty. Thomas Tuchel would want Werner to replicate that performance.
Jorginho and Kante should handle the midfield. N'golo Kante has been absent because of the Coronavirus, but he is feeling a lot better and should play.
Ben Chilwell and Reece James should be the wing-backs. Ben Chilwell has been on the bench for Marcos Alonso, but Thomas Tuchel is giving him a chance to get back into the first team, he just needs to continue giving an excellent performance.
Trevor Chalobah, Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta are the best options to handle Chelsea's defence. Trevor Chalobah would take the place of Antonio Rüdiger, who is out due to injury.
Andreas Christensen would occupy the centre position in between Trevor Chalobah and Azpilicueta. He has proven in the past that he can handle himself in the position.
Eduoard Mendy would man the post for Chelsea. He is still the best option for Chelsea and is less prone to making errors.
It would be a tough game for both clubs, as Brentford would also be looking to win.
