Ex-Chelsea star guides his Italian Serie A club to 3-2 comeback home league victory

Former Chelsea football club of England defender, Fikayo Tomori was in action on Saturday night for AC Milan in their 8th league game of the Italian Serie A against Verona at the San Siro.

The Nigerian-descent was handed a role to play in his team's starting XI following his incredible performance for the club in their previous game and he was able to impress.

Fikayo Tomori was at the heart of the defence line in the whole 90 minutes duration of the game which was instrumental in their dramatic comeback victory which placed them at the top of the table.

The host were two goals down at the break courtesy of goals from Gianluca Caprari in the 7th minute and Antonin Barak in the 24th minute to make it two nil going into the half time break.

The host in the second half put up some dazzling displays and as such got their opener of the night in the 59th minute with a goal from Olivier Giroud to make it two goals to one before Franck Kessie scored the equaliser via penalty, as he put the ball away from the spot in the 76th minute to make it 2-2.

AC Milan in the 78th minute took the lead with an own-goal scored by Koray Guenter to make it three goals to two at full time as all other attempts from both sides to add more to the tally of the night were not successful.

The win for the Stefano Pioli's side has now taken them to the top of the table with 22 points in 8 games played and as such be hoping to keep the winning streaks going in their next fixture, so as to continue their pursuit in the competition.
