Chelsea started their Champions League campaign this season with a win against Zenit at Stamford Bridge. The match ended in a draw in the first half of the game because of the player's inability to maintain a particular rhythm to their game.

During the second half, Lukaku was able to score from a header after a wonderful cross from Cesar Azipilicueta to give Chelsea the lead.

A clear observation was made throughout the match as Mason Mount and Recce James tried to form a partnership that failed. James failed to cross the ball most times to the striker as he always finds a means to get the ball to Mason Mount.
Both players made it difficult for the team today and will take the blame for Chelsea's lack of creativity upfront. They need to drop their pattern of play with their country and play as a team for the club in other to avoid such a scene again.
