Chelsea Players Thiago Silva, Antonio Rudiger, Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell and Billy Gilmour have wished their teammate and Chelsea first choice Goalkeeper Edouard Mendy on his birthday.
Arriving at a time when Chelsea desired a change of Goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy has helped boosted the Blues defense compared to last season. For a Goalkeeper playing in the Premier league for the first time, the Senegalese is doing better for himself as he sits on the third position on the clean sheets chart in the league. Only Ederson of Manchester City and Emi Martinez of Aston Villa are leading him on the clean sheet chart.
Edouard Mendy might have gifted himself an early birthday present as he kept another clean sheet against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
His teammates has also taken to their social media pages to extol him on his birth anniversary. Thiago Silva, his fellow summer recruits referred to Edouard Mendy as his friend. He wrote: "Happy birthday my friend. God bless you."
