The only premier league game of yesterday saw Leeds United welcome Liverpool to the Elland Road Stadium on Monday evening. The Reds who have recently returned to winning ways in the competition were looking to secure maximum points that will take them straight into the EPL top 4. Leeds United on the other hand had plans of defeating Liverpool to earn maximum points that will take them above Arsenal on the league table.
Liverpool displayed a brilliant 1st half performance as they created several goalscoring chances and also tested the Leeds United goalkeeper on some occasions. The Reds got a reward for their fine performance as Sadio Mane scored a brilliant goal in the 31st minute to give Liverpool the 1-0 advantage over Leeds United at halftime.
A rejuvenated Leeds United side returned to the second half as they kept pushing for the equaliser in the game which they eventually got as Diego Llorente's late header in the 87th minute meant that both sides will settle for a 1-1 draw at full-time.
