Dayot Upamecano's center-back partner is on the verge of making his move to Liverpool. Sources have confirmed that agreement between the two teams has been reached. Ibrahim konate will be signed on a fee of €35m.
Virgil Van Dijk's absence has made Liverpool to go for another young experienced center-back who can cordinate the defence comfortably just like Van Dijk.
Van Dijk will look forward to pairing with Konate if he comes back, this will create another cordination in Liverpool's defence unlike the pairing of Ozan Kabak and Jordan Henderson. Many top teams like Chelsea and Manutd once went for Konate's signature but agreement was not reached.
Agreement of €35m has been agreed between the reds and RB Leipzig although paper works has not been signed. Sources have confirmed that the deal will be done in days to come after which he undergoes medicals. Liverpool can as well play konate,Matip and Van Dijk in a 3-center back system just like Thomas Tuchel, this will make Arnold and Robertson be free.
