FC Barcelona had a slow start to their 2021/2022 Laliga campaign. This is blamed on injuries to the club's players. Some people however blamed the manager for his lack of competence to turn things around in the Catalonia club.
At the beginning of the season, most first team attacking players were all out injured. Ousmane Dembele, Ansu Fati, Sergio Aguero and Philippe Coutinho were all out injured.This resulted in lack of fire power for Barcelona.
All attacking duties was on Memphis Depay. His fellow country man and new signing Luuk de Jong offers no help in attack. Barcelona scored only eight goals in five matches played.
These injured players have however returned from injury and are making a difference for Barcelona. The most exciting of them all is Spanish teenage sensation, Ansu Fati.
Ansu Fati scored a goal in his ten minutes appearance against Levante after 322 days out of action. He also equalised against Valencia in his first start since November for Barcelona. He now has two goals in his first 48 minutes of Laliga football this season.
Only Frenchman, Ousmane Dembele remains a doubt for Barcelona's attack. There are reports that he has being undergoing individual training in the club's sporting facilities. There are positives he will join group training soon.
