Season after season in Europe, young players have competed with seasoned footballers and have been able to make their marks on the biggest games.
We take a look at young players that will impress in the Premier League this season
Last season Foden was an important member of the Manchester City team. The 21-year-old Englishman started 17 Premier League games for City last term, scoring nine goals and delivering five assists. The left-footed midfielder is terrific on the ball. It'll be interesting to see what more he can do in the new season.
19-year-old Greenwood found the back of the net 7 times in 31 league appearances for Manchester United last season. The midfielder started 21 league games for the club and performed well. He's got a promising future and could be given more time in the new season to prove himself further. Certainly one youngster to watch out for.
3. Bukayo Saka
Saka was at the receiving end of vile comments after England lost to Italy in the final of the recently-concluded European Championship. The 19-year-old midfielder, who made 32 league appearances for Arsenal last season, will be eager to shut his detractors up and further prove his worth when the season begins.
4. Emile Smith Rowe
Emile Smith Rowe, who's just 20, recently signed a long-term contract with Arsenal and was handed the Number 10 shirt previously worn by club legends, Dennis Bergkamp and Mesut Ozil.
Emile made 20 appearances in the league for Arsenal last season, scoring two goals and registering four assists.
Arsenal's technical director Edu has said the youngster represents the future of the club. Truly, he's got plenty of potentials and it'll be interesting to see how well he performs, especially in that number 10 shirt next season.
5. Jadon Sancho
Jadon Sancho has just made the move from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester United. The 21-year-old is a highly creative and technical winger. He registered 8 goals and 11 assists in 26 Bundesliga appearances for Dortmund last season and fans will be eager to see if he can bring that form into the Premier League.
He's a new boy and will be playing for United, who are looking for their first league title since 2013. It will be nice to see the part he plays in that bid.
6. Patson Daka
Patson Daka recently signed for Leicester from Red Bull Salzburg. The 22-year-old Zambian is now one of Leicester's youngest players and will be expected to fortify the Foxes' attack in the new season.
He's sensational, given his exploits in Austria. He finished as the highest goal scorer in the Austrian Bundesliga with 27 goals in 28 appearances and won the Player of the Season Award. Surely, he should be able to deliver fireworks in the Premier League when the season begins? We'll see.
