Manchester United striker ready to quit the club in January

Manchester United football club did some interesting transfer businesses in the just concluded summer transfer window before it was shut in September.

The Red Devils are keen on competing with the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea on all fronts this season, thereby sealing deals for Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo to bolster their squad.

However, the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus in the summer was always going to affect the playing time of veteran striker Edinson Cavani and if reports are anything to go by, then he is open to leaving the club in January.

The 34-year-old Uruguay International, who left Paris Saint-Germain to join Manchester United in the summer of 2020 has so far found it difficult to break into the Manchester United starting eleven this season.

Edinson Cavani has only made four appearances for Manchester United this season and according to reports from The Sun, he is now keen to leave the club in search pf regular playing time elsewhere.

The reports further claimed that the veteran is being scouted by Laliga giants Real Madrid and will table an offer for him when the transfer window opens in January.

It is believed that Real Madrid are willing to improve their attacking options next year and view Edinson Cavani as a needed addition to the squad.

However, it remains to be seen if Manchester United will be interested in offloading Edinson Cavani next year even though they possess other attacking options in Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood.
