The FIFA President on his arrival kicked off the maiden edition of the Ashia Buhari football tournament which saw Super Falcons beating the Mali female team in Lagos. He had earlier approved the competition to be recognized as one of the FIFA rated Tournament for female national teams of different countries who are invited.
Gianna Infantino and Dr Patrice Motsepe were lead by the Nigerian Football Federation President, Amaju Pinnick and with the minister of sports to visit other facilities in Abuja after the kick off.
After the inspection, he paid a courtesy visit to the president of the federal republic of Nigeria, President Mohammed Buhari at the state house, Abuja. During his visit, he commended the president for his support in the development of sports in the country. We also thanked him for approving the Aisha Buhari's football tournament to hold.
The FIFA President, presented three things as a gift to him during his visit at Aso Rock
1. A Jersey
The jersey No. 10 with Buhari name crested on it.
2. FIFA branded football
3. FIFA Pennants as an award with the President Buhari name on it.
They were numerous other dignitaries in attendance during the courtesy visit of the FIFA President to President Buhari.
