Some Players that are Nigeria International or share Nigerian descent have starred or still starring for Chelsea in the English premier league, and they've also gained recognition while doing so.
Celestine Babayaro, Victor Moses and Mikel Obi are the Nigerian Players that played for Chelsea while Fikayo Tomori, Ross Barkley and Tammy Abraham have Nigerian descent.
Babayaro was born in Kaduna State in Nigeria in 1978. He started his career at Plateau United in his country of birth before moving to Anderlecht in 1994.
He joined Chelsea in 1997 and was at Stamford bridge till 2005 before joining Newcastle. He played under Jose Mourinho in his last season at Chelsea.
Fikayo Tomori is currently on loan to Italian side AC Milan. The British-born Defender was gave birth to by Nigerian parents. He played for Canada and England at his youth level. Although, He has also opted to represent England at senior level, his Nigerian descent cannot be deny.
Tammy Abraham also shares Nigerian root through his paternal lineage. He was reached out to by some quarters of the Nigerian football federation to switch his allegiance to the country. He however turned down the offer and chose to represent England.
Ross Barkley was gave birth to by Peter Effanga and Diane Barkley. He chose his mother's maiden name as his Surname. Through his paternal lineage, he also have a Nigerian root.
