The Balloon dOr is a prestigious award given to the best player of the season every year .
The France football have officially announced that there will be no Ballon d'Or award in 2020 due the global corona virus pandemic . they France Football said that the award will not be given due to (exceptional circumstances) which the seasons has had due to covid-19 .
This year will now be the first year since 1956 that France football Will not hand over the individual award. 
Barcelona and Argentina forward Lionel messi won the last award 2019 making his sixth Ballon d' Or award . his close Rival is Cristiano Ronaldo with five Ballon D'Or . luka modric won it in 2018. France Football has confirned that the Ballon dOr will not be awarded this season.
