Ahmed Musa will forever be one of the prolific players Nigeria has ever produced, and this is because of his special talent and understanding of football. People are still finding it hard to comprehend why exactly the soccer player came back to Nigeria to play for Kano pillars.
Some people believe that for a man of his status and past records and achievements, it is quite belittling for him. However, some other Nigerians have applauded the player for coming to add value to the Nigerian League. In fact, one of my friends made a point that it was easy for Ahmed Musa to do what he did, because he is from the North. I almost believed him, as the player was reported to have been born in the northern part of the country, Jos precisely, and given by his name, it is quite easy to deduce where the player is from, but then I found out that his mother was from Edo state.
Recently, we heard the news of how the footballer has rejoined Nigerian club Kano pillars on the 13th of April, 2021, and for a moment, I wondered how much the club is going to be paying him. And that was how I found out that Ahmed Musa has decided to play for the Nigerian club for free, how sensitive of him.
The Nigerian player who will be staying with Kano pillars till the end of the 2020 - 2021 season, was playing for a Saudi Arabian club, Al Nassr, before he made this groundbreaking move to Kano Pillars.
Ahmed Musa has shown good example for deciding to play for free with the Nigerian club, at least I am quite grateful he will not be letting the club go bankrupt.
