Chelsea Football Club are considering their options as the Blues are set to enter the summer transfer market early in order to bring in massive players to improve the quality of the squad under Thomas Tuchel. According to reports, the German coach is eyeing a massive reunion with world-class Paris Saint Germain defender Marquinhos and Chelsea are reportedly ready to launch a massive bid to complete the signing of the World-class Brazilian defender to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is reportedly keen to bring in a defender to improve his squad in the summer transfer window and the German tactician has earmarked Marquinhos as a potential transfer target to bolster his defensive line at Stamford Bridge. According to several reports, Chelsea transfer chiefs are reportedly interested in the prospect of signing Marquinhos as the Brazilian defender who is also capable of playing in midfield has been a long term Chelsea transfer target.

26-year Old Paris Saint Germain captain and Brazil international defender is widely regarded as one of the best defenders in Europe as his commanding performance for Paris Saint Germain has made him to be considered amongst the best. Marquinhos was exceptional under Thomas Tuchel at Paris Saint Germain as the player played in both midfield and in defence for the French club, Thomas Tuchel is now very keen on bringing the player to Stamford Bridge in order to improve his squad.

However, Marquinhos will not come cheap for Chelsea as the Blues will have to pay a fee in the region of £65million to Paris Saint Germain in order to finalize the transfer for their captain. However, Paris Saint Germain will be unwilling to let the Brazilian defender leave the club as he has become an integral member of the squad but Chelsea are reportedly confident as they believe Thomas Tuchel will be able to convince the defender to move to Stamford Bridge and build a formidable squad.

Marquinhos is a hugely experienced defender and he will be able to slot in seamlessly into Thomas Tuchel’s plans at Stamford Bridge as he will be an orchestrator from the back for the German coach. His excellent passing range, reading of the game, tackling ability and robustness will make him an excellent addition for Chelsea as he will make the Blues a more solid defensive unit, also, he can be Chelsea’s longer term replacement for fellow Brazilian Thiago Silva at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are looking to compete with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City and the Blues need to bring in more world-class players to improve the quality of the squad despite their brilliant start to life under Thomas Tuchel. The addition of Marquinhos will be a massive statement from Chelsea to show their ambitions to become a force and to also become the best team in England.
