N’golo Kante’s Illness Provides The Perfect Opportunity For Midfielder To Win Back His Spot.

There are reports that Chelsea and France midfielder N’golo Kante will miss Chelsea matches against Juventus on Wednesday and against Southampton at the weekend.

N’golo Kante will miss those matches due to Illness and he should be back for Chelsea after the International break.

N’golo Kante just came back from a set back two weeks ago against Tottenham. After his performance against Tottenham he managed to win a spot in Tuchel’s starting XI against Manchester City but he is now out again due to illness.

Although, N’golo Kante’s injury news is bad news for the Chelsea coach, it is good news for one Chelsea midfielder who has had two good performances against Aston Villa in the EFL Cup and Manchester City last Saturday.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek Should Make Use Of This Opportunity.

With N’golo Kante being unavailable, Ruben Loftus Cheek is now the third choice midfielder behind only Mateo Kovacic and Jorginho. Ruben Loftus-Cheek has had very good performances against Aston Villa and Manchester City.

In the Carabao Cup tie against Villa, he was Chelsea’s best midfielder and his progressive play was witnessed by Chelsea fans on Saturday against Manchester City.

Now, against Juventus, If Tuchel decides to give rest to either Jorginho or Mateo Kovacic, Loftus-Cheek will be the favorite to start ahead of Saul or even Ross Barkley

N’golo Kante’s will miss all Chelsea matches before and after the International break and that will give Loftus-Cheek the perfect opportunity to stake a proper claim for a position in the middle of the park.

Lofus-Cheek is well equipped to become a key member of the Chelsea squad as he has shown with his recent performances. Even if Tuchel decides not to play him as a Central Midfielder, Loftus has all the skills to play as an attacking midfielder as it is a role he has played in before for Chelsea under Maurizio Sarri.

It will be interesting to see how Loftus-Cheek will challenge Kovacic, and Jorginho for a spot in the Chelsea midfield for the upcoming matches in Turin and at home against Southampton.
