Italian serie A giants Napoli football club have reacted after Super Eagles of Nigeria star Victor Osimhen netted a brace to set a new record for Gennaro Gattuso's team, in their 4-1 away victory over Spezia FC on Saturday evening.
The former LOSC Lille football club of France star put on another classic performance for the Naples, and he was able to contribute to three of the four goals scored by his team.
Victor Osimhen started in Napoli's attack ahead of Hirving Lozano, and he was able to justify his starting role by netting a brace.
A brace from Nigerian Victor Osimhen, and a goal each from Piotr Zielinaki and substitute Hirving Lozano were enough to give Gennaro Gattuso's team a deserved victory, despite the fact that the host also netted a goal.
With Victor Osimhen's brace, it means he has scored the total number of ten League goals this season, and he has set a new record by becoming the second youngest player to score 10 goals in the last two seasons.
Reacting after Victor Osimhen set a new record, Napoli posted on their verified Twitter handle that;
"Erling Haaland (20) is the only player younger than Victor Osimhen (22) among those in the top five European leagues who have reached double figures in the scoring charts in each of the last two seasons.
