Many West Brom supporters have taken aim at Nigeria International, Semi Ajayi after he got red carded in the first half of Saturday’s match against the Clarets.

Semi Ajayi was red carded on the half-hour mark for a deliberate handball that stopped a goalscoring chance.

The centre back was the last man back and he swiped at the ball with his hand as Sean Dyche side looked to counter-attack.

It looked a clear handball in real-time and it is surprising that Ref Mike Dean was even told to go to the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) to check it.

The right decision was taken in the end and the Nigeria defender was given his marching orders which makes a difficult task even tougher.

It was a crazy thing for Semi Ajayi to do and it is exactly the last thing that West Brom Gaffer Sam Allardyce will have wanted from one of his more experienced players.

Many Baggies supporters are angry with Semi Ajayi and labelled the Nigerian as an idiot and a clown for his actions against the Clarets.

The red card leaves the Baggies in the lurch ahead of a very crucial forty five minutes though the biggest blow is that West Brom will be without Semi Ajayi for the next 3 matches.

Here's how some Albion supporters reacted to Semi Ajayi’s red card.
