Everton football club of England star Alex Iwobi has reacted after returning to the first eleven to inspire the Super Eagles to a 3-0 victory against the Lesotho national team, in the last game of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in Lagos.
The Arsenal Hale Academy product missed Super Eagles last game against the Squirrels of Benin Republic on Saturday evening after being tested positive to Coronavirus in Porto-Novo, but his second result came negative on Tuesday morning, and he was able to play an important role in his team's deserved victory.
Alex Iwobi started in Super Eagles attacking midfield alongside Villarreal's Samuel Chukwueze and Kelechi Iheanacho of Leicester City, and the trio were able to impress, as they defeated Lesotho 3-0.
Super Eagles broke the deadlock through Napoli's Victor Osimhen in the first half, before Oghenekaro Etebo and substitute Paul Ebere Onuachu add the remaining goals in the second half to end the match 3-0 for the host in Lagos.
Reacting after the game, Alex Iwobi posted on his verified Instagram handle that;
"Qualified and Unbeaten, YaaDigg 🤟🏿🇳🇬."
Reacting to Alex Iwobi's post, Barcelona ladies star Asisat Oshoala and fans reacted to praise the Everton FC star.
The victory over Lesotho national team now means that the Nigeria Super Eagles finished at the top of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers group with 14 points from 6 matches played, winning 4 drawing 2.
