Chelsea ready to revive interest in Kounde
Jules Kounde wants to leave Barcelona after only one season at the Camp Nou, with newly-crowned Spanish champions believing Chelsea will be interested in signing him this summer. Kounde’s future in Spain is in doubt, with Sport reporting he is unhappy with his role at Barcelona and is mulling over a move away from Camp Nou this summer. The 24-year-old isn't happy that Xavi Hernandez has prioritised using him at right-back rather than his natural position of centre-back, while he is also aware that Inigo Martinez's arrival could limit his game-time even further.
The report adds Barcelona will try to settle the situation in-house, but should he push to leave the club, the Catalan giants believe Chelsea could revive their interest.
