Chelsea plotting summer move for€36m-rated in-demand forward
Chelsea have reportedly made an approach for Lille to discuss a possible move for Jonathan Ikone when the summer transfer window will be re-opened.
The 22-year-old forward has enjoyed a productive 2019-20 season for his French team, founding back of the net four times and providing seven assists in 36 games in all competitions.
Ikone still has three years left before his deal expires with Les Douges, however, the France international could allegedly seek pastures new ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
According to Le 10 Sport, the Blues have held talks with Ligue 1 outfits, Lille over a potential move, and the French outfits are taking the interest from Frank Lampard’s side ‘very seriously’.
Kai Havertz SHOULD NOT be Chelsea’s priority in the summer window if Willian goes – Gab Marcotti has opened up and told ESPN.
There has been so much speculation over the past few months with both Willian and Havertz in the headlines for totally different reasons.
Havertz is regarded as one of the finest talents in the game and is a top target for Frank Lampard, who is still keen to add to his attack, and it is believed that he will be the direct replacement for Willian, if he leaves.
Willian is out of contract at the end of the season, and with the club refusing to budge on on the two-year deal that they have offered, nothing is even close to being signed right now.
But in the video below, Gab Marcotti and Julien Laurens discuss the possibility of the London side signing Kai Havertz and Willian’s future at the club.
Kai Havertz set to become Chelsea’s fifth highest earner on£140k a week BEFORE bonuses if they clinch transfer
KAI HAVERTZ is reportedly set to become Chelsea’s fifth-highest earner with a weekly wage of £140,000 BEFORE bonuses.
Nicolo Schira claims Bayer Leverkusen’s star man has agreed personal terms with Chelsea ahead of a big-money transfer this summer.
Frank Lampard’s side are looking to pay £72million for a player valued at £90m by his club.
But the Blues have already held talks with Havertz and are believed to have struck personal terms on a five-year deal worth £140k per week.
Havertz can increase his salary through performance-related bonuses.
But that flat rate would make him Chelsea’s fifth top earner once a deal goes through.
Fellow German Timo Werner is the Blues’ best-paid player on £170,000-a-week following his move from RB Leipzig.
Goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga and midfielder N’Golo Kante both pocket £150k each week.
And winger Christian Pulisic is fourth with £145,000-a-week.
