Liverpool continued their perfect record in this group after stealing 3 points from Athletico Madrid. They top the group with 9 points.
Both Porto and Athletico have four points while Ac Milan are yet to earn a point in the competition.
Ayax beats Sporting Lisbon 5-1 on Wednesday. They are table-toppers in this group with 9 points. In the group's other match Borussia Dortmund came away from Turkey with a 2-1 win over Besiktas.
Sheriff are levelled on points with Real Madrid after their 3-1 lost to Inter Milan. Madrid thrashed Shakhtar 5-0 to get their second win of the campaign.
Barcelona kept their hope of reaching the knock-out stage alive after beating Dynamo Kiev 1-0, thanks to Gerard Pique's goal.
In the other group's match, Bayern Munich struck four times to cruise past Benfica.
This group sees Villareal moved into third in the standings on four points from three games, behind leaders Manchester United (six ) and Atalanta (four).
The group leaders, Salzburg claimed a victory over Wolfsburg to move 4 points ahead of Sevilla who are second with 3 points.
Juventus maintained their top position after a hardfought 1-0 victory away to Zenit St Petersburg. They top the group with 9 points while Chelsea are second with six points.
