Currently, Barcelona is one of the clubs in the UEFA Champions League, who have recorded their UCL games with disappointing results this season. The La Liga giant suffered two major defeats in their first and second UCL games, which kept them at the bottom of the Group H table currently. Considering Barcelona's performance at Camp Nou against the Bundesliga champions, it is obvious that they have failed to maintain some vital defensive game plan against their opponents. Without wasting much of your time, let's check out 5 things that Barcelona needs to do to qualify to round 16 of the UEFA Champions League not minding their current position in the Group E table.
#1. They need to work on their defense.
For Barcelona to suffer a 3-0 defeat against Bayern Munich, and Benfica is enough reason to show that their defense is weak. More reliable defenders should be made available in the right position to strengthen their defense.
#2. They need to be more defensively alert whenever their opponents are close to their safety yard-box. Barcelona has a huge problem, whenever their opponent is good at playing a counter-attack, maybe because their players are more concerned about the forward direction more than the back wing. They need to be alert to disorganize any counter-attack toward their safety yard-box.
#3. They need to increase their pace whenever they meet any of their opponent in the Champions League contest.
#4. They need to be more creative.
#5. They should make proper use of every opportunity that they might have against their opponents before the end of the match.
With this piece of information, I hope I have been able to show you the 5 things that Barcelona needs to do to qualify to round 16 of the UCL, not minding their current position in the Group E table.
