The Premier League remembers Cech as a legend, hero and role model as the retired 39 year old was undoubtedly one of the best shot stoppers in the world when he was at his peak. However, Cech is still human and because of this, there is bound to be some ugly dirt under all those amazing stats.
Cech was known for his saves and his good throwing, but one thing that he was not good at was surely his passing ability. Because of this, the great goalie's name is second on the list of the Premier League all time error leading to goals, something to remind us that even legends are not above mistakes.
That list features goalkeepers that are nowhere near his quality as he is second to Asmir Begovic who has made 27 errors leading to goals in the Premier League while he was not so far behind at 24. For a goalkeeper of his quality, he made more errors leading to goals in the Premier League than Robert Green (21), Joe Hart (20), and Mignolet (18), and even David James who was nicknamed the Calamity because if his likeliness to make errors.
Anyway it is not surprising that his bad stats are not being mentioned as his impressive clean sheet stat tremendously overshadows his errors. Because of this he would always be remembered as a legendary goalkeeper and not one that gives the ball to his opponents.
