Manchester United next six games both in the Champions league, and the premier league can decide the position of the club this season, and might answer most questions on fans mind, do Manchester United have what it takes to compete for the league?
A lot of heat has definitely been thrown at Ole Gunner in recent games, with Manchester United performing below expectation, last week draw against Everton, drew criticism from former Manchester United coach, Alex Ferguson, who was against the decision of benching Ronaldo in the game, saying this "you have to start with your best players."
This has been the tale of Manchester United under the lead management of Ole Gunner and his coaching staff, this up and down movement, yes, they have paraded themselves as kings of comeback, and away win kings, but this recognitions are useless, if the needful, which is a trophy isn't presented to the fans at the end of the season.
Amongst the top six clubs this season, Manchester United had the most productive transfer window, brought in a world class defender, in Rapheal Varane, acquired a long time transfer target, Jadon Sancho and brought in a superstar in Cristiano Ronaldo, and yet they find themselves occupying the fourth (4) position on the premier league table. If they lose their next premier league game, they could find themselves as far off as ninth position, this wasn't fans had planned out for the season.
After the international break, Manchester United would be welcomed with fixtures that can make, or break their season. They would play Leicester City away, Atalanta at home in the champions league, at home to Liverpool, and away to Tottenham, and they would play Atalanta for the return leg away, and then play Manchester City at home.
A defeat and a draw in the champions league, would put qualifying out of the group to the next stage, at an impossible rate, three lose, or three draws would put them a whole distance from the top spot, how does Ole hope to overcome this hurdle placed before him.
Manchester United fans patience would wear thin, if this season goes by without a trophy again, and if they are knocked out of the champions league. How Ole Gunner would maneuver his way to get the desired result, in this fixtures still remains unseen, and should he not pass over this hurdle, is it time Manchester United call their time quit with the Norwegian manager?
