The 2020/2021 UEFA Champions league, kick-starts in few hours from now with a mouthwatering fixture between Manchester United, and Paris Saint Germain on the cards.
The two giants square off on Tuesday, 20th of October 2020 in this season Champions League opener.
The duo of Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain, have been pitched together in group H comprising of last season semi-finalists, Leipzig and newbie, Istanbul Basaksehir.
Of course, on paper one would expect Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain to win the group and reach the next round.
But with unconvincing form and unpredictability nature of the Champions League, there is no guarantee both teams will find it easy in the group.
However, facing each other in the group stages opener is crucial for both teams as they will aim to begin their 2020/2021 Champions League campaign, on a solid note.
Yet, with all the frailties and weakened nature of Manchester United defence, one wonders how the Red Devils will cope with the frightening level of Paris Saint Germain attack.
One thing however is certain, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be feeling a little bit confident in terms of offence, after bouncing back from a trashing at the hands of Tottenham Hotspurs.
The emphatic 4-1 win over Newcastle United, with the input of Marcus Rashford should give Ole Gunnar Solskjaer men, some bit of assurances and confidence, in matching the attack of the Parisians.
The Norwegian, can also take into account that the French club have not been too perfect also, even though they have since left behind the drop in form, after suffering consecutive losses in Ligue 1.
Nonetheless, one major difference that could be the undoing of Manchester United is the dangerous, deadly and lethal attack of Paris Saint Germain, consisting of a Di Maria, Neymar, Mbappe link up.
Should Thomas Tuchel, specifically target the centre-back pairing of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof, which has given some poor and questionable performances this season, another trashing could become the fate of the Red Devils.
Of course, the likes of Alex Telles and Wan-Bissaka are expected to lead the fullback role protecting the defence.
But with the calamitous tendencies of Manchester United centre-backs, raises up more doubt on the ability of the defence, to cope with Paris Saint Germain flood of attack.
Are we going to see another masterstroke win by Manchester United, under their manager? We can't wait to see how this crunch tie for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, would pan out.
Agree that Manchester United defence, might suffer and could collapse against Paris Saint Germain, in their Champions League opener?
