The Spanish LaLiga returned back to action yesterday and as such, a lot of actions were displayed.
Atletico Madrid were in action against Deportivo Alaves but, they were clearly beaten 1-0. Diego Simeone's side did all they could to draw level but, all their efforts proved abortive as Alaves held on to their 1-0 lead and took all three points home.
Real Madrid failed to capitalize on Atletico Madrid's loss earlier in the day to extend their lead on the table. They were held to a 0-0 draw by Villareal. The game was a tough one for both sides but neither of both teams were able to break the deadlock so they had to settled for the spoils.
