According to report from The Mirror, Kalidou Koulibaly’s asking price has reduced from whopping £80million to £65million, which could be important for those clubs looking for his service.
English Premier League clubs, the likes of Manchester City FC and Liverpool FC have both been linked with the AS Napoli's sensational defender, Koulibaly as they look to strengthen their back line ahead of next campaign. Even Everton FC have regarded the Senegal ace as a possible summer target according to Liverpool ECHO.
The Mirror‘s report confirmed that Manchester City FC manager, Pep Guardiola is active in the market for a centre defender and Kalidou Koulibaly fits the bill. Manchester City FC are reportedly looking to find the perfect partner for the French prolific defender, Aymeric Laporte as they look to win back their English Premier League title next campaign.
However, with Chelsea FC already spending big this summer, they could rekindle their interest in the 29-year-old AS Napoli defender.
According to Dean Jones of Bleacher Report back in February, the Frank Lampard's side were considering a move for AS Napoli’s sensational defender, Kalidou Koulibaly, but the deal could not be finalized due to his price tag.
Frank Lampard has continuously rotated his two centre defenders as he is struggling to find out the perfect combination.
Chelsea FC have already signed Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, with the 21 year-old Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder, Kai Havertz another big player linked to a possible switch. Signing Kalidou Koulibaly would be another huge step towards a strong finish next campaign.
