Check Out Spanish La Liga Table As 4 Teams Struggle For 2020/2021 League Title.

The 2020/2021 Champions of Spain looks undecided with less than 5 matches left for each teams.

The LA Liga table keep fluctuating following inconsistencies from the top 5 teams. Athletic Madrid looked like serious contenders right from the beginning on the season but gradually began to drop points lately. Diego Simeone side had the chance to go 5 points top of the league about two weeks ago but misused the opportunity losing 1-2 to Athletic Bilbao. However, the Atletic Madrid team approached a new step from the Spanish Premier League title by defeating its host Elche 1 – zero on, Saturday, 1st May 2021, in the 34th round, as they luckily escaped a lost time equalizer when Elche striker Fidel, stepped up to the mark, but he couldn't beat Oblak and find the back of the net.

Athletic Madrid sits top of the table with 76 points, 2 points behind currently 2nd placed Real Madrid.

Real Madrid had the chance to go top of the league on goal difference when they played Real Betis in their previous game at the Santiago Bernabeu, but the Zinedane Zidanes side could only end up on a goalless draw despite Athletic Madrid losing same week.

Having played 33 matches and gathered 71 points, Defending Champions Barcelona are another inconsistent team this season. Barca have misused several chances of clinching the tittle back to back but failed woefully. A 1-2 home defeat by eight placed Granada last weekend demoralized their big chance of coming up the table, they now have to win Valencia on an away ground to hang on to possible glory. Barcelona will also have to travel to Wanda Metropolitano Stadium next week in what will be their final fate.

Seville also stand a chance of being a surprise champion provided they win all their upcoming matches against Real Madrid, Villarreal and Valencia, hoping other top teams lose.
