We get to see our footballers who represent various clubs abroad come together whenever Nigeria has an international football match, and another place where you can see these guys united is on social media. They demonstrate their goodwill for one another by celebrating each other's victories.
Williams Troost-club Ekong's was promoted to the EPL over the weekend, and Williams, along with Kelechi Iheanacho, Peter Olayinka, Victor Anichebe, Collins Jamilu, Sadiq Popoola, David Nworah, Moses Simon, and even Poco Lee, congratulated Paul Onuachu, whose club just won the Belgian League. He was kind enough to respond to each and every one of them.
Paul expressed his pride in his squad by posting pictures of the victory on his Instagram profile. Despite the fact that Onuachu was not on target, his team KRC Genk beat Standard Liege by a score of 2 to 1 and he played the full 90 minutes.
This was Genk's seventh cup victory, and Onuachu's third in his professional career. In 2018, he won the Danish league with Midtjylland, followed by the Danish cup in 2019.
Congratulations Onuachu, congratulations Genk!
