See The Record That Phil Foden Sets As City Defeat Liverpool

Manchester city trashed Liverpool 4-1 this evening. With a 4-1 win on Merseyside, Pep Guardiola`s side surged five points clear at the top of the league with an outstanding match to play.

The match was seen to break Manchester City`s Anfield curse, since it was since 2003 that the Guardiola`s side has won Liverpool in Anfield, and that was probably decades from now.

IIkay Gundogan was the talisman that destroyed Liverpool despite missing a first half penalty, and an impressive performance from the young star Phil Foden who took on the task of playing false nine but finished like a seasoned striker.

Phil Foden became the youngest player to ever score and assist for a visiting team in a premier league game at Anfield. Foden was two when city last won here.

Liverpool lose to city means setting a bad record of losing three consecutive premier league home games for the first time since 1963.
