Fans react after France Gignac apologised during his celebration after scoring against Mexico.

Mexico were too strong for France in their debut match of the 2020 Olympic tournament on Thursday morning, defeating France 4-1 at the Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo, Japan.

However, One of the standout moment of the game was when Andre-Pierre Gignac scored a penalty against Mexico in the 69th minutes of the Olympic with the scorelines been 2-1, Gignac then went on to apologise during his goal celebration.

Andre-Pierre Gignac plays in the Mexican football league with Tigres UANL and has been with them since 2015 becoming their all time top scorer.
