Chelsea have used 32 players in the English Premier League (EPL) in the course of 2022/23 season. This makes the Blues one of the four clubs that have more than 30-strong squad in the English top flight this term. Only one of them have used more men in the EPL this season.
The lone outfit that has a bigger premiership squad than Chelsea has thirty three players. This club is Nottingham Forest. These players have an average age of 27.2 years. This value is less than that of Chelsea (27.4) but greater than Arsenal's 25.1 years. Their total market value of about 340 million Euros is about one third that of Chelsea.
The most valuable members of the Tricky Tries' squad are Morgan Gibbs-White and Brennan Johnson who are both valued at €30m. The former moved to the club last summer while the latter was a member of the team that won top flight qualification for the club last season. Meanwhile, both of them are Britons with English citizenship. The most valuable foreigners are Brazilian midfielder, Danilo and Nigerian striker, Taiwo Awoniyi who are worth €25m €20m respectively. The only other Nigerian-born player in the team is 25-year-old Emmanuel Dennis who is valued at ten million Euros.
Meanwhile, the most used player is Brennan Johnson. The Welsh forward has played in all the 27 matches of the club so far. His efforts have earned him two Man of the Match (MotM) awards. He is one of the ten players that have scored EPL goals for the team this season with 7 to his credit. This is one more than the number scored by Kai Havertz who is Chelsea's highest goal scorer. However, fourteen different players have scored premiership goals for the Blues this season.
