Nigerian striker, Odion Ighalo, has been nominated for the award of the best striker in the Emirates FA Cup for the 2019/2020 season of the competition.

The 31 year old has had a remarkable first season at Manchester United after he was loaned from Chinese club, Shanghai Shenhua, to the English club on the 31st of January, 2020.
His first loan spell expired in June 2020 but was extended until January 2021 because of his impact on the club.

Ighalo has since scored a total number of 5 goals in 18 appearances for Manchester United since the time he got to the English club. He scored 3 of his goals for the club in 3 FA Cup matches, this qualified him to be nominated for the best striker of the competition.

The Manchester United forward has had a remarkable season at the English club, as opposed to what some football critics said about his transfer. He's a good motivation for up and coming Nigerian players to play for their passion for football and not for money.
The most voted striker will appear in the FA Cup team of the season.
