According to reports, the incident took place on Saturday 14th August, as the victims were said to be returning home after attending the annual Zikr (prayer session) organized by Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi to mark the beginning of Muharram, the new Islamic New Year.
At this point, the identity of the killers are unknown, as the police are doing everything within their resource to apprehend the perpetrators.
Reacting to the sad incident, Musa, called on the federal government and relevant authorities to take measures in arresting and curtailing any future occurrence, as he described it as a ‘barbaric act’.
However, President Buhari in a statement released by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, has ordered that the culprits be arrested and made to face the law.
