Also as per Spanish tabloid Marca, "Atletico Madrid sporting director Andrea Berta is keeping a close eye on Paul Onuachu, Genk’s Nigerian forward who has started the season in incredible form"

The Nigerian-born striker will surely be a good buy for the Spanish giants as he's a player that has incredible eyes for goal. His impressive height will also be a great addition to the team.

In this article, we'll be looking at how Diego Simeone could set up his starting XI with the Nigerian star. Check it out below:

In terms of formation, Diego Simeone could adopt the 4-3-3 formation to accommodate the Nigerian star.

Jan Oblak's place in the goalkeeping position is definitely undisputed. As such, the Slovenian should continue to star between the sticks.

For the backline, Savic and Gimenez should act as the anchors from the center while Trippier and Renan Lodi play as full-backs.

In the midfield, Griezmann and Rodrigo De Paul could form a central midfield partnership. In this case, Griezmann will be positioned just behind the attackers while De Paul is placed in front of the defense.

Llorente and Lemar could occupy the wing-back positions in this case.

The attack is where Onuachu will come in. The Genk star could form a partnership with Luis Suarez.

Paul Onuachu has been one of Europe's most lethal strikers since the 2020-21 season, where he scored 35 goals in all competitions. The 27-year-old has not shown any sign of slowing down as he has already scored on 11 occasions from 14 games so far this season.
