Some Fans Compare 22-year-old To Kante After First Game Since Leaving Everton

Heart of Midlothian dominated Celtic 2-1 on Saturday night, with Beni Baningime, an ex-Everton midfielder, playing a significant part.

After promotion last season, Hearts are back in the top flight of Scottish football, and opening with a home game against Celtic was a little daunting.

Despite this, Hearts took the lead through to Gary Mackay-Steven's goal against his former side, before Celtic equalized thanks to Anthony Ralston's goal.

Hearts, on the other hand, were not to be denied, as John Souttar scored a late winner for Robbie Neilson's side to secure all three points.

A number of Hearts players put up strong performances, including midfielder Baningime, who had just recently joined the club.

On Thursday, the 22-year-old joined Tynecastle from Everton, and he was given his first start on Saturday night.

Baningime shone in the midfield for Hearts, and it appears that he will be an important player for Neilson in the future.

Hearts fans have already praised Baningime's debut, calling him "amazing," "great," and "wonderful" on Twitter.

Others have compared Baningime's persistent display in midfield to that of N'Golo Kante, with the teenager looking to settle down after his Everton misery.
