EPL table after yesterday's games as Tottenham overtake Liverpool in top 4 race

Let's take a look at what's going on in the English Premier League at the moment.

Tottenham vs Southampton

In what was Ryan Mason's first game as a manager, Tottenham won 2-1 against Southampton.

After falling behind in the first half, the London side staged an incredible comeback, with goals from Gareth Bale and Heuming-Son keeping their hopes of making the top four alive.

Aston Villa vs Manchester city

With their win over Aston Villa yesterday, Manchester City moved closer to clinching yet another Premier League title.

Within 21 seconds of the game's start, the Citizens were down 1-0 to the Villans, but came back to win 2-1 thanks to goals from Phil Foden and Rodri.

Here's how the EPL table looks like after yesterday's games

Manchester City has moved one step closer to clinching the EPL title, having opened up an 11-point lead over Manchester United in second place.

Despite their inability to grind out a win against Brighton on Tuesday, Leicester City remain in third place, while Chelsea have moved up to fourth. West Ham are level on points with Chelsea in fifth place, while Tottenham have moved up to sixth place at the expense of Liverpool, who have dropped to sixth place on the table.
