Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has explained his decision to start in Malang Sarr against Brentford, his first Premier League game for Chelsea.
Explaining his team selection, Tuchel said: “It’s always like this there are no easy games where you can test stuff, either you can trust or you don’t trust.
“Malang was strong in the cup game, Andreas not played many games at the highest level, Trevor was strong on every game he played with us we have no doubt about him.
“Malang is the guy who gets his debut but he has strong players around him and that's it.”
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has pointed to Malang Sarr's Carabao Cup performance against Aston Villa as the reason to his shock inclusion against Brentford in the Premier League.
Sarr, 22, has only made one appearance so far this season and put in a good enough showing against the west Midlands side in the third round of the cup to force Tuchel's hand when it came to team selection for this west London derby..
