Why Chelsea Fans Should Be Wary About Scapegoating Enzo Fernandez

Chelsea's record Signing Enzo Fernandez was impressive during the West London club's Premier league game against Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon at Vitality Stadium. The Argentina National didn't score any goal or make any assist against the Cherries but, his contribution in the midfield in helping Chelsea to dominate Bournemouth on Saturday cannot be underestimated.

Enzo Fernandez has been fairly good since his arrival at Chelsea in January but because the West London club are having a terrible season, it's easier for Fans to single out the most expensive guy and blame him for the bad result of the club.

Of course, none of these things is happening right now but it might still happen. Fans would want Enzo Fernandez to take his Defensive role seriously. They would also want him to adjust his position in midfield and help in the attack by creating chances or making assists.

This is what happened to Paul Pogba at Manchester United too. The Frenchman was playing in the defensive Midfield and Fans still expected him to be defending, making ball recoveries, making interceptions and winning possessions while creating chances and making assists.

Players like that don't get a lot of appreciation when Team wins since they didn't scored any goal or make assist. The worst thing is that they are ones that get blamed when the team loses.
