How many people have died from Covid-19 Worldwide?

The coronavirus which broke out late December 2019, has enforced both physical and economic lockdown throughout the world for the better part of 2020. The virus which broke out in Wuhan, China has killed many people, disrupted the lives of many economically.


However, the world experienced relief when vaccines were released this year. Mass vaccination has however been a challenge, especially to Third World countries. 


Since the outbreak of the virus, one hundred and forty million people have been infected with the virus. Death rate surpassed three million deaths this week, while one hundred and nineteen million recoveries has been reported according to Worldometer. 


The United States leads in the number of deaths and infections recording one hundred and seventy five deaths and thirty two million infections. India and Brazil come second and third, recording fourteen and thirteen million infections. 


Since the beginning of covid-19 vaccination, more than 869 million doses have been administered so far, Bloomberg reports.
