Since 2016 the Asisat Oshoala foundation has held football clinics for girls still in secondary school in Lagos.
The girls are trained by coaches from FCN Escola, an academy owned by Barcelona operating in Lagos, winners are presented with various prizes.
In 2018 and 2019 the foundation fed the less privileged during Ramadan and provided educational materials to students in public schools in Lagos state.
This year the foundation teamed up with engineer Noah Dallaji and his Noah Dallaji foundation, to organize a para-soccer tournament as well as the usual tourney for secondary school girls.
In a period where para-sports are suffering in Nigeria due to neglect and underfunding, this is a rear bit of hope for the disabled athletes who want to make a living out of their passion.
