Manchester City hosted Leeds United in the Etihad stadium as they look to extend their lead at the top of the premier league to 17 points, while Leeds United on the other was looking to beat the Citizens in their home ground. Man City Vs Leeds has not been an easy game considering the fact that they play similar style of play, and how Leeds Boss Marcelo Bielsa influence on Pep Guardiola is notable.
Leeds United took the in the 41 minutes of game after a fine display from the them through Dalles, who has scored outside goals more than any other player in EPL this season, but they was reduced to ten man just minutes later after their goal. The Leeds captain Cooper became the first Leeds player to be shown a straight Red card this season.
He was initially shown a yellow card after the incident but referee Andre Marriner changed that to a Red Card, after reviewing the situation with the help of video assistant referee (VAR). The truth is that the yellow card should have stand as The fool was not an intentional foul but they did that to favour Man City because they were losing the game.
Man City equalized the game through Torres but nemesis before the citizens as they were stunned in the dying minute of game, as Dalles last minute goal secured a 1-2 victory for the visiting team.
I can recall, during the champions league this week, in which Jude Bellingham scored a goal after a mistake from Ederson, but the referee disallowed the goal which VAR refused to intervene in the process because the whistle has been blown before the ball went into the post. So, why do they not allow the first card given to Cooper to stand rather they turned it into Red Card.
At least, my possible fear of VAR Favouritism to Man City in EPL this season has been confirmed today, and the English premier league FA should try and do something to stop this things before they will become unstoppable in the league.
