How Chelsea Could Line Up Against Norwich Due To The Absence Of Lukaku And Werner

Chelsea will be facing Norwich City in the early kick-off of the English Premier League week 10 fixtures. Few Chelsea players such as Christian Pulisic, Timo Werner, and Romelu Lukaku are presently injured. Hakim Ziyech is partially sick, and he is not part of the team to face Norwich City.

Pulisic has been out of the Chelsea squad for the past few weeks, while Lukaku and Werner got injured in their last UEFA Champions League game against Malmo. Romelu Lukaku is out of the Chelsea team to play the Saturday match against Norwich because of an ankle injury. Timo Werner also picked up a hamstring injury against Malmo on Wednesday. 

Chelsea will play against Norwich City on Saturday without a pure striker for the first time. Although Kai Havertz will play as a false striker due to the absence of Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku who are natural strikers. Chelsea coach will be forced to use the 4.4.2 formation because of their injury woes. He may also decide to use his normal formation, which is 3.4.3. However, they can easily control the game with the 4.4.2 formation.

Firstly, the list of players that are available for the Saturday game includes Edouard Mendy, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Cesar Azpilicueta, Reece James, Marcus Alonso, Trevoh Chalobah, Ben Chilwell, Andreas Christensen, Antonio Rudiger, Thiago Silva, Hudson Odoi, Mateo Kovacic, Jorginho, N'Golo Kante, Saul Niguez, Ross Barkley, Malang Sarr, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Mason Mount and Kai Havertz.

Potential line up; 

Goalkeeper: Edouard Mendy

Defenders: Thiago Silva, Cesar Azpilicueta, Antonio Rudiger, and Ben Chilwell.

Midfielders: Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic, N'Golo Kante, and Ruben Loftus Cheek.

Attackers: Kai Havertz and Mason Mount.
