Messi laid low as a Dwarf, Cavani looked out for Ronaldo: Some Biggest takes from the last UCL Games

The two Football geniuses Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo both had an amazing performance for their respective side during their last UCL encounter.

On Tuesday, Lionel Messi was greatly involved in PSG's victory over Manchester City at Parc De Prince. The Argentine Playmaker led the Parisians attack alongside Neymar Jr and Kylian Mbappe against the Citizens. The Parisians headed into the Match knowing that a victory is what they needed having played an embarrassing 1-1 draw against Club Brugge in their opening game.

Like Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo also led Manchester United's offense against the Red Devils' last season Europa League foe Villarreal at the Old Trafford. It is worthy of note that Unai Emery and his Villarreal squad tanked Manchester United's dream of winning the UEFA Europa League last season having defeated the Manchester club in the Final in Gdansk, Poland.

The Red Devils also suffered an embarrassing defeat against Young Boys in their opening 2021/22 UEFA Champions League. A victory over Villarreal was the only expected result for Manchester United on Wednesday evening as a draw or worse, a defeat would have put their dream of proceeding further in the current campaign in jeopardy.

The clash between Manchester United and Villarreal appeared to be heading to a draw until Cristiano Ronaldo snatched a late Winner in the 95th minute. Apart from scoring a winner against the Spanish club, Ronaldo has now scored in two consecutive UEFA Champions League Matches this campaign.

However, it was what happened while the United talisman was celebrating his late Winner that caught our eyes. He had just scored a goal, he was fired up and excited as he pulled off his jersey and flung it into the air. Edison Cavani who was running towards Ronaldo to celebrate the goal with him noticed Ronaldo's shirt in the air and caught it. Instead of the shirt to land on the ground, Edison Cavani prevented that as he caught the jersey mid-air.

This goes to show the level of respect and love that Ronaldo's teammates has for him. I mean, we are talking about the player that Ronaldo took his shirt number and his place in United's squad but there's no lost love between them.

Lionel Messi might have scored his first PSG goal against Manchester City on Tuesday but many Football enthusiasts and Pundits captured what he was made to do against the Citizens. Lionel Messi was made to lie down as a dwarf wall in PSG Defense.

A lot of Football Fans were left infuriated about this because they knew that Lionel Messi wouldn't have done that at Barcelona. The 34-year-old is a Football Royalty but he was made to lied down as a wall.
