Wales 0-4 Denmark: Denmark makes European Championship history after walloping Wales.

Denmark has progressed to the quarter-finals of the EURO 2020 tournament. Two goals by Kasper Dolberg and late strikes from Joakim Maehle and Martin Braithwaite clinched a convincing victory for Kasper Hjulmand's side.

The Denmark story has truly been phenomenal. After losing their first two games, they were still able to qualify for the knockout stages becoming the first team to achieve such a feat. In scoring four goals Denmark also became the first team to score four goals in consecutive games in the history of the EURO, with their 4-1 victory over Russia still fresh in the memory.

The Christian Eriksen incident seems to have become an inspiration to this Denmark side as they continue to fight on in the tournament in honor of him.

Kasper Dolberg opened the scoring with a fine strike from outside the penalty box midway through the first half before adding a second few minutes after the restart, after bouncing on a poor clearance from Neco Williams to finish from close range. The brilliant Maelhe made it three two minutes from time, with a left-footed strike after cutting in from the right. Martin Braithwaite added the icing to the cake in stoppage time with a goal that was initially ruled out for offside before being reviewed by VAR.

Denmark progresses through to the quarter-finals where they will meet the winner of the game between the Netherlands and the Czech Republic in Baku.
